On Sunday, at a ceremony at the Nepal Police Headquarters, Inspector General of Police Basant Bahadur Kunwar launched the website udb.nepalpolice.gov.np, which has "details of unidentified bodies and missing persons" in Kathmandu.

After the program's launch, Inspector General of Police Kunwar addressed it, saying that in addition to the website's security, connecting it to the citizen app will increase its effectiveness. According to him, if the website is run smoothly and successfully, it will be available to an increasing number of concerned individuals, making it simple to find more unexplained dead bodies and missing persons. Taking the assistance of the citizen level and other relevant stakeholders, he said that the responsible department should routinely check the issue of fostering a space in which dead corpses may be detected in their original form and collect such information and post them on the website.

The website's creator, Yongminds Creation Pvt. Ltd., represented by Dr. Sridhar Marasaini, provided information regarding the usefulness and features of the website at the event.

In accordance with the State Law and Governance Committee's decision dated 2nd of Baisakh 2078, the Nepal Police Head Office Crime Investigation has created a separate web page with a detailed description of such corpses for the purpose of managing the remains of those who have died in accidents, natural disasters, or for other reasons and whose owners or relatives are unable to identify them or locate them. The agency took the initiative to gather all the information, including that of unexplained dead bodies and missing people, in one location. If someone could identify the individual, the department could also get their information. On the occasion, it was also disclosed that the website created to report the information is now operational.

Senior Police Officers, a second inspector general of police, a deputy inspector general of police, additional inspector generals of police, and Yongminds Creation Pvt Ltd officials attended the program.
