The election schedule for the new leadership of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), close to the CPN (UML), has been released.
Chief Election Officer Kumar Prasad Khakurel shared that the election schedule was released on Wednesday.
As per the schedule, the deadline for filing the nomination was determined as 4:00 pm on Wednesday, and the withdrawal of candidacy from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm as the name list of voters would also be published today itself.
Similarly, the time for voting has been scheduled from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday. ANNFSU Chairperson Sunita Baral said although the election schedule was released, the initiative was underway for the consensus.
The ongoing general convention would elect a 199-member central committee, 17 office-bearers, and three commissions for a two-year term. Around 1,573 representatives are participating in the general convention.
Arrangement for e-voting has been made to make the election process systematic and smooth. The general convention taking place from Tuesday will conclude on Thursday.
