CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal

CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Chair, Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said he struggled for a long time to see political transformation in the country.

While inaugurating the 'Youth Entrepreneurship Conference' organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies, Bagmati Province; the National Youth Council and Bishal Media Group jointly here today, the former Prime Minister said he planned to dedicate his days ahead to the cause of political stability, economic revolution, peace, development and prosperity of the nation.

The leader was of the view that youths who are abroad for various reasons would not hesitate to come back home provided that an atmosphere for stability, development and prosperity was ensured here.

He realized that he was in the later part of his life and he would dedicate the rest of his life to the economic revolution.

The present situation suggests that we could accelerate the pace of development in the next 10 years. Youths are capable of taking the nation towards a new phase of economic development if they are committed to the same, according to him.

He was of the view that Nepal has the great potential of being developed as an economically self-sufficient nation, but the political atmosphere, strong power, and the right vision, plans and programmes are lacking to take the country towards that path with the utilization of natural resources.

Pointing out the great potentiality for digital infrastructure development and urging the youth not to miss such an opportunity. Similarly, agriculture is one of the prominent sectors for achieving self-sufficiency.

Stating that Nepal, the food-export country in the past, is highly dependent on imported food at the present.

Talking about the possibility of the culture of gaining prosperity through illegal channels becoming dominant in society, he urged youths not to dream of seeking an economic career through a fast track.

He urged them to have patience and dedication as entrepreneurs to take the business towards sustainability.

The Maoist Centre chairperson took time to say that he could take a leading role in transforming war into peace and drafting an inclusive conclusion. "Efforts started with good intention will give positive results," he added.

On the occasion, Minister for Youth and Sports Maheshwor Jung Gahatraj stressed the need for new political thoughts for the economic development of the country. Stating that education, health, tourism and sports are potential sectors for boosting the country's economy, he emphasised that visionary leaders with new political thoughts should get the political leadership. Youths should also be connected for developing and prospering the country, he added.

President of the Confederation of Commercial Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal, Pawan Golyan, underscored the need for economic revolution along with the development of agriculture in the country while the conference coordinator Bishal Gaire, also a chief executive officer of Bishal Media Group, said next movements should be for peace, stability and economic development of the country.

Similarly, Vice Chair of the National Youth Council Surendra Basnet emphasised revolutions in agriculture, energy, tourism and industry for the country's development and prosperity.

The conference was attended by aspiring youth industrialists from 55 districts across the country.
