Local elections will be held on time: PM

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that local elections will be held on time.

Inaugurating the reconstructed Bhimsen Temple at Patan in Lalitpur, he said that the government has started necessary preparations to hold the local elections on time.

Stating that the current government has the task of holding elections at all three levels, Prime Minister Deuba said that holding free and fair elections is the need of the hour and the responsibility of the government. "We are able to build our own heritage," he said, adding that private sector assistance was also essential in building religious heritage.

Stating that it is necessary to give responsibility to the local level in the development work, Prime Minister Deuba said that most of the development related works constructed by the local government are good, fast and of good quality. He said, "It is very important to give responsibility to the local level in the development work. Good work has been done so far. It cannot be said everywhere. Lalitpur is known for its art and culture, which is full of historical sites and cultural perspectives. ”

Stating that he believed that the development in Lalitpur Metropolitan City would help in broadening the identity of Nepal and Nepalis not only at the national level but also at the international level.

Chief of the Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Chiribabu Maharjan, said that the city has completed the reconstruction of religious heritage within the city with speed.

President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Shekhar Golchha said that the private sector should not only trade but also build religious heritage.

Reconstruction of Bhimsen Temple in the Patan Durbar area has been carried out under the leadership of the Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the financial support of Lalitpur Municipal Corporation. Chairman of the Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Manoj Bahadur Nyachayon informed that the temple, which was damaged by the 2072 BS earthquake, was built in the same style after five years.

According to him, the temple was constructed at a cost of Rs. 49.7 million by the corporation, Rs. 10 million by Everest Bank and Investment Bank at a cost of Rs. It is said that this temple was built about three hundred years ago in the time of Srinivasa Malla.
