Maoist centre wins in Rajapur of Bardiya

CPN (Maoist Center) has won the Rajapur Municipality Chief and Deputy Chief of Bardiya. Dipesh Tharu has won the post of chief and Manakala Kumari Chaudhary has won the post of deputy chief.

Tharu won by getting 9,807 votes while his nearest rival Deepak Jung Shah of Nepali Congress got 9,760 votes, Pahari Chaudhary of CPN (UML) got 6,072 votes, Ram Gopal Chaudhary of Nagarik Unmukti Party got 1,348 votes, and Ram Mani Upadhyaya of Rastriya Prajatantra Party got 594 votes. Mohan Lal Chaudhary got 318 votes and Shivlal Upadhyaya of Rastriya Janamorcha got 17 votes.

Similarly, Chaudhary of the UCPN (Maoist) got 10,086 votes while Yashoda Tharu of the Congress got 10,045 votes, Savitri Sharma Bakhrel of the CPN-UML got 5,422 votes, Sangeeta Chaudhary of the Citizens' Liberation Party got 1,297 votes, Samjhana Upadhyay of the RPP got 605 votes, and Sumitra Sunarni of the Rajmo got 12 votes.

The UCPN-M has won ward chairpersons in wards 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10. Baburam Chaudhary of the Nepali Congress has won in Ward No. 1, Ram Chandra Chaudhary of the Congress in Ward No. 2, Prasadu Tharu of the UCPN-M in Ward No. 3, Bidur Pokharel of the UCPN-M in Ward No. 4, Independent candidate Ramesh Chaudhary in Ward No. 5 and Asraj Neupane of UCPN-M in Ward No. 6.

 Similarly, Ramu Tharu of UML has won in ward no. 7, Rajesh Tharu of UCPN (Maoist) won in ward no. 8, and Bishnu Prasad Tharu of Nepali Congress has won in ward no.
