In Krishnapur Municipality of Kanchanpur, Nepali Congress candidate Hemram Ojha has been elected as the Mayor and Draupati Rana as the Deputy Mayor, according to the Office of the Returning Officer.
Congress' Draupati Rana got elected with 9,675 votes while her nearest rival Gita Malla of UCPN (Maoist) got 8,851 votes and Ramita Rana of UML got 7,316 votes. In the previous election, Ojha had lost to UML's Karna Bahadur Hamal.
