4 golds for Muaythai Nepal

In the Modern Pythian Games in New Delhi, India, Nepali Muaythai athletes won 4 gold medals on Thursday. Team coach Rahul Moktan, who is also the vice-president of the Nepal National Muaythai Association, said that four players from Nepal participated in the competition, equal to 2-2 men/women.

In men’s 65 kg, Mukesh Luitel Khatri won the gold by defeating India’s Shivans Bhargava.

Mukesh is the gold winner of the 5th South Asian Kickboxing Championship held in Bhutan. In men’s 60 kg, Kishore Negi defeated India’s Vishal Singh on knockout basis to become the first.

In women’s 48 kg, Prapti Batas won the top spot defeating India’s Satakshi Shukla. National champion Pratpa is the bronze winner of the 2022 Youth World Championship in Malaysia. Prapti’s sister Parika won the gold in 51 kg beating India’s Dibyanshi.
