Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter has invited the BBC Master Chef UK: Professionals 2020 Finalists' team, including Master Chef Santosh Shah, Chef Alex, Chef Bart, and Chef Philippa to promote tourism, culture, and cuisine. The team will arrive in Kathmandu on April 7, 2022, and will be visiting different locations in Nepal to promote the destination and the Nepali culture and Cuisine. The Master Chefs will also attend the Formal Function and Annual Award Presentation Ceremony during the 45th Annual General Meeting on April 11, 2022.
PATA Nepal Chapter organized The MasterChef Finalists' Tour to Nepal to support the post-pandemic recovery initiatives of the ailing tourism industry of Nepal by promoting its culture and cuisine. “Inviting the internationally well-acclaimed celebrity Master Chefs to Nepal will definitely help boost up Nepal through its authentic culture and delightful cuisines”, says Mr. Bibhuti Chand Thakur, Chairman of PATA Nepal Chapter. “It will also add great value to support our post-pandemic tourism recovery initiatives and campaign”, he adds.
The Master Chefs will be indulging in various events during their visit such as fine-dining programs themed at Nepalese Cuisine in Kathmandu, ‘Mithila Cuisine & Recipes’ a themed event in Janakpur, tourism promotional event at Kalapatthar, Everest Base Camp, Tharu Cultural Program, interaction and wild spices hunting at Bardiya and a visit to Pokhara.
The program is supported by Nepal Tourism Board as the main promoter, Sri Lankan Airlines as the official airlines partner, Nabil Bank as the banking partner, and CIWEC Hospital as the health partner. Similarly, the domestic airlines-Buddha Air and Summit Air, NATHM, KGH Group of Hotels, Community Homestay Network, Siddhartha Business Group of Hospitality, GATE, Galaxy TV, Sunflow Sunflower Oil, and Highground Adventure have also collaborated and supported the initiative by PATA Nepal Chapter.
