Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, visited the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in China Thursday.
The Deputy Prime Minister is presently on a five-day visit to People's Republic of China beginning on Tuesday.
On the occasion, he was briefed about efforts undertaken by the Chinese government for panda conservation by the officials of the facility that is presently home to around 200 pandas. The panda facility draws a large number of visitors each day, it is said. ---
