Jazeera Airways is going to start direct air service at the Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa from May 16.
This is the second service operated by Jazeera Airways in Nepal.
Prior to this, the airline has been providing direct flights between Kuwait and Nepal since November 2019. The Nepali Embassy in Kuwait issued a statement on Tuesday stating that the Nepali community living in the Middle East can be connected to the south-western region of Nepal through direct air service after the launch.
The embassy is confident that air travel will be easy and convenient for Nepalis entering the Gulf countries for foreign employment and other purposes.
According to the embassy, it will be more convenient for pilgrims and tourists who want to visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha.
The Jazeera Airways flight is scheduled to arrive at the Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa, which is about to become the second international airport.
Announcing the flight schedule on Tuesday, the airlines said that the flight, which will take off from Kuwait at 6:30 pm local time, will reach Bhairahawa at 1:45 am on May 16.
The airship will depart for Kuwait at 2:30 am on the same day. Jazeera will fly to Nepal from Kuwait on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday in a week. Similarly, the plane will fly back to Kuwait from the Gautam Buddha International Airport on Monday and Wednesday.
