2022 Oct 16, 15:10, Kathmandu

A photo exhibition about Mount Everest has recently been completed in Japan.

The photo exhibition was jointly organized by Nepali Embassy, Tokyo and Fujinomiya City. Nepalese Ambassador to Japan Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi and Fujinomiya City Mayor Hidetada Sudo inaugurated it.

There has been a close relationship between Nepal and Japan in mountaineering activities. Many Japanese climbers have successfully climbed the highest mountains in Nepal. Ever since Japanese mountaineer Toshio Imanishi climbed Mount Manaslu on May 9, 1956, a large number of mountain lovers from Japan have been coming to Nepal. Junko Tabei, a Japanese woman, reached the summit of Mount Everest on 16 May 1975, becoming the first woman in the world to climb Mount Everest.
