Pokhara will be connected with the world: Minister Ale

The airport was handed over to the Nepalese Government of Friday.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has said that the Pokhara International Airport will now connect Pokhara with the rest of the world.

After the Chinese government handed over the Pokhara International Airport to Nepal, he handed over a letter of appreciation to the airport construction company on Saturday.

Minister Ale said that the opening of Pokhara International Airport would now help in promoting Nepal's tourism and attracting more tourists to Nepal. He said, "Pokhara is the center of attraction for tourists from all over the world. I think tourists visiting Nepal do not want to return without reaching Pokhara, so now this airport will be convenient for tourists who want to come to Pokhara."

He congratulated the tourism entrepreneurs of Pokhara and urged them to build hotels in Pokhara and bring package programs for tourism promotion.

Minister Ale said, “A beautiful tourist spot like Pokhara is a beautiful gift of nature to the people of Pokhara. This airport will help them make it more beautiful. Open hotels, attract more tourists and be involved in the development of the tourism sector here. ”

Minister Ale urged to open not only five-star but also seven-star hotels in Pokhara. Minister Ale also informed that the Ministry of Tourism would provide necessary assistance for opening big hotels and casinos.

Minister Ale urged the tourism entrepreneurs of Pokhara to come up with a program to accommodate the tourists for many days by constructing other infrastructures, adventure tourism infrastructures and other recreational infrastructures required by the tourists. He reiterated that the Government of Nepal, and himself personally, has always been keen to promote tourism in Pokhara.

He informed that the people of Pokhara have requested to open the Ratna Mandir to attract more tourists.

Minister Ale thanked the people of Pokhara for their support for the construction of Pokhara International Airport. He said that it was the building block in the country's tourism sector, stating that the operation of Bhairahawa and Pokhara International Airports in the next few days is important and historic. He said that these two airports would be of great help in the development and promotion of Nepal's tourism sector.

He said: "The Corona epidemic has hit the world's tourism market hard for at least three years and we have been plagued by the epidemic, but now that the epidemic is over, we need to work to make up for yesterday's losses. ”
