Born in Lukla, Solukhumbu, Pasang aspired to be like late Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, the first Nepali woman climber. And after her parents named her Pasang Lhamu, everyone encouraged her to climb the mountain.
Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Akita has now successfully climbed eight of the world’s 8,000-meter-high mountains. She is on a mission to climb Mountains above 8,000 meters all over the world.
