Manu Gurung from Manang district has successfully scaled Mount Aconcagua in Argentina.
Gurung on February 1 had left for Argentina to climb the 6,960-meter tall mountain. This is the tallest mountain in the continent of South America. Associated with mountain tourism for a long, Gurung has already climbed the Chulu West, Annapurna IV, Mira Peak, Phokalde, Lobuche, and Dhumpus peaks, said the Chairperson of Naso rural municipality, Dhan Bahadur Gurung.
An organization–Mountain Women of the World Network had helped 15 women from different countries to climb the mountain. However, only nine women successfully climbed Mt Aconcagua.
