Many Nepali mountaineers have received proper appreciation as their names are in the Guinness Book of World Records. However, even the world record holders have not been able to get a single identity card from the government so far.

Climber Kami Rita Sherpa, who has set a world record by climbing Mt. Everest 26 times, has to wait in line like everyone else at the airport when traveling home or abroad. Similarly, there is no facility for famous climbers even in government hospitals.
