KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has indicated that a western low-pressure system, along with local winds, is currently affecting weather patterns across the country.

As per the division, the weather is partly to generally cloudy in the Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Gandaki provinces, while other hilly areas, including Lumbini province, remain partly cloudy. The rest of the country is mostly clear.

Isolated light rain and thunderstorms are occurring in parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to stay partly to generally cloudy in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and the hilly regions, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to mostly clear skies.

Thunderstorms are likely in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

Additionally, light rain with lightning may occur in certain hilly regions of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, as well as in one or two places in other hilly areas. Light snowfall is also possible in the higher hilly and mountainous regions of these provinces.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas, including Koshi Province, while the rest of the country will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear. Light rain with lightning could occur in a few hilly regions, with light snowfall possible in the higher hilly and mountainous areas.
