A fire that erupted at Barju Rural Municipality-4 in Sunsari district on Sunday has resulted in the destruction of property worth millions of rupees. The blaze originated from the residence of local resident Bishnu Dev Paudar, consuming 15 houses and causing property losses estimated at around five million rupees.Deputy Superintendent of Police of Sunsari, Nabin Krishna Bhandari, reported that houses, furniture, clothing, food supplies, and utensils belonging to locals were all ravaged by the flames.

Firefighters from Biratnagar and Itahari, alongside locals and law enforcement, managed to extinguish the fire.An investigation into the incident is currently underway, as stated by the District Police Office, Sunsari.
