UML still has the lead in the Dang Tulsipur sub-metropolis. UML’s Tikaram Khadka is leading with 1,650 votes. He has got 24 thousand 891 votes, and his nearest rival Gehendra Giri of Nepali Congress has secured 23 thousand 206 votes.
UML also has the lead as the Deputy Chief. UML’s deputy mayoral candidate Sani Chaudhary is in lead with 24,572 votes, and UCPN-M’s Jog Bahadur Rana has bagged 17,333 votes. There is a difference of 7,239 votes between them.
As the results of 13 wards in Tulsipur have been made public, it is yet to be declared that Khusi Ram Chaudhary of UCPN (Maoist) has won in ward no. UML had won the previous local elections. In the sub-metropolis, out of 101,460 voters, 74,336 had cast their votes.
CPN (UML) candidate Tikaram Khadka has taken the lead in the Dang, Tulsipur sub-metropolitan constituency with 1,161 votes. He has so far garnered 16,796 votes, while his nearest rival candidate Gehendra Giri of the Nepali Congress has garnered 15,535 votes.
In the local level election held on May 13, UML candidate Sani Chaudhary is leading with 16,079 votes while Jog Bahadur Rana of the CPN (Unified Socialist) has got 11,445 votes.
Meanwhile, UML’s Yamaraj KC has won in Ward No. 10 by getting 1,879 votes. His rival Dhurbahadur Shah of the Nepali Congress polled 1,023 votes. So far, the results of 10 wards of Tulsipur have been made public. Counting of votes in Tulsipur 11 and 12 is underway.
UML had won the previous local elections in Tulsipur. In Tulsipur, 74,336 out of 101,460 voters had cast their votes.
