The Putlibazar Municipality of Syangja has decided to set up a blood bank in the district headquarters in Putlibazar. Newly elected mayor Tulsiram Regmi has made the first decision to set up a 'blood bank' in Putlibazar. He said that the establishment of a 'blood bank' has been given priority as the first decision to ensure that no one dies in famine due to a lack of blood. "Expansion of dialysis services and establishment of 'Blood Bank' at Syangja District Hospital has decided as the priority," said Mayor Regmi.
Rs. 1 million is being disbursed from the Disaster Management Fund of the Fiscal Year 2078/79 for the expansion and effective operation of the existing dialysis service, establishment of 'Blood Bank' and easy provision of blood. Biomedical technicians and infrastructure will also be constructed. The district hospital is currently conducting regular dialysis of 12 kidney patients. They are planning to provide service to 45 people. The necessary infrastructure and manpower are being managed.
The further expansion of the service is expected to play an important role in preventing premature death due to lack of blood by providing surgical maternity services to the patients at the district hospital and providing blood to the patients.
