KATHMANDU: The ambassador-designate to the United Kingdom, Chandra Prasad Ghimire, has expressed his commitment to make every possible effort to increase the exports of Nepali goods to the UK.
Addressing an event organized in his honour by Dharan Sarokar Samaj here Saturday, Ghimire said he would make efforts to take Nepal-UK relations to a new high by strengthening economic diplomacy, promoting foreign direct investment and making visits of high-ranking officials from the UK to Nepal. Ghimire also shared his plan to conclude the issues of Ex-Gurkha Servicemen.
On the occasion, former Minister of State for Communications Krishna Kumar Rai, Senior Advocate Harihar Dahal, former Ambassador to China Rajeshwar Acharya, former President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Mahesh Kumar Agarwal among others shared their views wishing for a successful tenure of ambassador-designate to deepen Nepal-UK relations.
