Congress candidate has won the post of Chief and Deputy Chief of Rampur Municipality of Palpa. Raman Bahadur Thapa of the Nepali Congress has been elected as the chief. Thapa received 10 thousand 456 votes.
His rival Shiva Aryal of CPN-UML got 10 thousand 83 votes. Rajendra Dhakal of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party polled 168 votes.
Bal Kumari Thapa of the Nepali Congress has been elected as the deputy chief of the city with 10 thousand 307 votes. His rival Durga Devi Rana of UML got 10,250 votes and Gayatri Neupane of Rastriya Prajatantra Party got 157 votes.
Out of ten wards of Rampur Municipality, Congress candidates have been elected in 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9, and UML candidates in 3, 8, and 10 wards.
