About 20,000 tourists entered Nepal in February

A total of 1,143 foreign tourists visited Nepal through the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in June.

 In the second month of 2022 (February), about 20,000 tourists have visited Nepal.

According to Maniraj Lamichhane, director of the Nepal Tourism Board, 19,766 tourists visited Nepal in February. In the same month last year, 9 thousand 146 tourists had come to Nepal. In the first month of 2022, 17,000 tourists visited Nepal.

According to the Nepal Tourism Board, a total of 37,741 tourists have visited Nepal in the last two months. Although the impact of the corona virus (Covid-19) is diminishing, tourist arrivals appear to be gradually improving, but encouraging figures are not forthcoming.

According to statistics, the number of Indians visiting Nepal is the highest. In one month, 5 thousand 998 people have come to Nepal from India. The United States is in second place. It is seen that 3 thousand 614 people have come to Nepal from the United States. In third place is the United Kingdom. This month alone, 2,217 tourists have come to Nepal from the UK. 1,052 people have come to Nepal from Australia which is in the fourth place.

According to the statistics of the board, only 147 people from war-torn Russia visited Nepal. Due to the fact that China has not allowed tourists to visit Nepal, only 205 Chinese nationals have come to Nepal during this period.

Bangladesh is the second South Asian country after India. From here, 888 tourists have come to Nepal. After the United Kingdom, 642 people came to Europe from Germany, 529 from France, 252 from the Netherlands, 180 from Spain and 179 from Belgium.
