Chief Minister of Province 1 Hikmat Kumar Karki has said that the business exhibitions taking place at different times have helped make economic activities vibrant.
In a concluding ceremony of CNI Koshi Expo-2023 on Saturday organized by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries in Biratnagar, the Chief Minister pledged to begin the construction of an exhibition site from the upcoming fiscal year if Biratnagar Metropolitan City provided a land plot and a proposed map from the private sector.
Likewise, the Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens of the Federal Government, Bhagawati Chaudhary, asked the Province Government to focus on creating a conducive environment for establishing export-oriented industries in Province 1.
Minister for Social Development of Province 1 Buddhi Kumar Rajbhandari viewed that the expo was fruitful to establish economic links across the country.
Mayor of Biratnagar Nagesh Koirala stressed the need of developing the Kimathanka-Jogbani road at the earliest possible time adding that the road serves as a trilateral trade route.
The 10-day-long expo witnessed business persons and their 400 stalls from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
