22 people arrested with prohibited drugs

The police arrested 22 people with banned drugs from different places in the valley. The Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police, Koteshwar, arrested 18 men including four women in 19 days from Ashar 32, 2078 to Shrawan 18, 2018.

The police arrested 33-year-old Tulsa Khadka, who lives in Taplejung Meringden and lives in Imadol, Lalitpur, on July 8. One thousand 260 tablets of Nitravet, 150 capsules of Proxivan, six tablets of "Dilex DC" and 300 milliliters of a red colored liquid resembling codeine were recovered from him.

The police have also arrested 35-year-old Buddha Bamjan of Sarlahi Hariwan Ghar and Gokarneshwar Bensigaon, who supplied drugs to Khadka, and Yuvraj Khadka, 27, of Imadol, who assisted Khadka in drug dealing.

Similarly, the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested 40-year-old Junmai Moktan of Ramechhap Municipality-9 with 384 grams of heroin on 13th Shrawan. The police arrested all those involved in drug dealing from various places in Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu in the valley and made it public today.

According to the Chief Police Senior Superintendent of the Bureau, Senior Superintendent Bikas Khanal, 459 grams of heroin, 1,080 bottles of 'Dilex DC', 1,260 tablets of Nitravet and 150 capsules of Proxivan have been recovered from the arrested persons.

The total market value of the seized drugs is 58 lakh 10 thousand 800, the police informed.
