Compensation to wild elephant attacks victims' families

The Bagmati state government has decided to give a compensation of 1 lakh. The cabinet meeting held on Tuesday morning of the provincial government has decided to compensate the families of 2 people from Makwanpur and 1 person from Sindhuli who died in an elephant attack last week.

Government Spokesperson and Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning, Jagannath Thapaliya informed that on the proposal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, the meeting of the Council of Ministers decided to compensate the families of those who lost their lives in the wild elephant attack.

Last week, 64-year-old Radha Adhikari of Makwanpur Manhari-4, Santalal Majhi of Bakia-5 and 41-year-old Dandpani Paudel of Sindhuli Kamalamai Municipality-13 Ranibas died in the attack.
