A curfew order has been clamped in Dhangadhi bazaar until further notice from 7:00 pm Yesterday.

The District Administration Office, Dhangadhi, issued the curfew order to contain a tense situation created after the demise of a 15-year-old student in a vehicle hit on Thursday morning. Chetana Saud, an eighth grader, was knocked down to death by a road grader while she was cycling to her school, Panchodaya Secondary School.

Information Officer at the District Administration Office, Dhangadhi, Shivaraj Joshi, told RSS that the curfew order would be in force from Phulbari bus station in the east to Ratopul in the west and Postal Highway to the south to community police service centre to the north.

The agitated locals had staged protests in the market area the whole day on Thursday by burning tyres after the accident.

Police have seized the road grader (Na 1 Kha 875) while the dead body of the student is kept in the Seti Province Hospital.
