Excessive expenditure on financial aid distribution by local bodies

This year, 491 local levels have distributed financial assistance worth 886+ million to various individuals and organizations. Out of which, 207 local levels have distributed 317.7 million 64 thousand financial aid without preparing the procedures related to aid distribution. Since there is no legal system to provide financial assistance to such organizations, it is mentioned in the Auditor General's 59th annual report that unproductive financial assistance expenses should be controlled.

Sundarbazar Municipality, Lamjung has purchased 1 tripper and 2 city buses for 1 crore 2 lakh 40 thousand rupees, so these vehicles have not been used. It is mentioned in the Auditor General's report that the purchased vehicles should be brought into use.

Rolpa Municipality purchased 2 milk tankers worth 35 lakh 55 thousand and kept them idle without using them. Similarly, this year, 14 lakh 58 thousand rupees worth of 500 liter capacity automatic milk frozen equipment has been purchased and paid for, but the equipment has been stored without being used. It has been stated in the report that officials who purchase unused equipment should be held responsible.

8 local levels, including 7 in Banke and 1 in Bardia, have entered into an agreement with non-governmental organizations and paid 11 million 40 thousand rupees for the operation of the civil assistance room. It is mentioned in the annual report of the auditor general that is not appropriate.

Sisne Village Municipality, Rukum East has provided 35 lakh rupees for the construction of an FM radio building and 5 lakh rupees for purchasing equipment and supplies for a communication center.

Dhurkot village municipality of Gulmi purchased rice and dal vegetables for personal use for the president and vice president for 7 lakh 93 thousand rupees and Madane village municipality recorded an expenditure of 1 million 71 thousand rupees.

The Janakpur sub-metropolitan city has recorded an expenditure of 92 lakh 80 thousand rupees for holding meetings at different times in the wards.
