The Lumbini Province Assembly has passed a bill on spending some amount from the Province Reserve Fund and Appropriation Bill.
Amid protests from the main opposition party, the bills were passed unanimously, Province Assembly Speaker Tularam Gharti announced.
Earlier, Economic Minister Dhan Bahadur Maski of Lubmini Province Government tabled the bills seeking the province assembly's approval.
However, opposition UML's provincial assembly member Bhoj Prasad Shrestha claimed that the chief minister and ministers of the province were escaping the deliberations on the annual budget for the fiscal year 2080/081 BS.
In the meeting, Tara Thapa of Rastriya Janamorcha, Bhagawati Adhikari of CPN (Unified Socialist), Mina Shrestha of Rastriya Prajatantra Party and Loki Kumari BK of Nepali Congress took part in the discussions in the budget.
