Nepalese army safe in the incident in Congo

UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION STABILIZATION MISSION IN THE CONGO (MONUSC) reported the demonstration in the city of Goma, where the mission's force headquarters is located. Since then, the local people have been protesting against the MONUSCO Mission with various demands. It has been reported that arson and looting incidents are taking place in some related physical structures.

The Public Relations and Information Directorate of the Nepal Army has informed that all the Nepalese peacekeepers and military observers deployed in the said mission are safe.

Special security alert for all Nepali Army units and military observers deployed in the said mission 
to adopt, continuously monitor the situation, and be in constant contact with the Shri Directorate of Peacekeeping. Instructions have also been given.
