An oxygen plant has been set up in Melamchi Hospital with support from Melamchi Municipality, Parliamentary Development Fund, Hyalmo Sindhu Melamchi Social Upliftment Programme, and other organisations.
The plant has the capacity to produce 48 cylinders per day. Mayor of Melamchi Municipality Dambar Aryal said the citizens would realize the presence of the state if they were given health care services at a fair price.
It is claimed that there will not be a shortage of oxygen supply after the installation of the oxygen plant. Chief Administrative Officer of Melamchi Municipality Amrit Kumar Dhital said the plant was brought into operation so that no one in the area would succumb to the oxygen shortage.
With the installation of the plant, people from Melamchi, Helambu, Panchpokhari, and the surrounding areas will access to the services conveniently, said Melamchi Municipality officials.
