Nepal Police has arrested a person who was fined Rs 90 lakh by the High Court of Patan. The police team deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Meen Bhawan arrested 35-year-old Maya Basnet Thapa from Diktel Ghar, Khotang, currently living in Old Baneshwar, Kathmandu, who was sentenced to a fine of Rs. 90 Lakh.
The Patan High Court issued an arrest warrant to Thapa in a case related to a banking offense worth Rs 90 lakh. Thapa, who was absconding, was arrested from Bagalamukhi in Lalitpur, police said. The arrested Thapa has been sent to Police Circle Balaju for necessary investigation and action, said the office.
