In Bharatpur Jail, the prisoners have been transferred after they had to be kept under tarpaulin due to lack of sleeping space. They were transferred after the number of prisoners exceeded the capacity.

According to the head of the prison, Kamal Prasad Acharya, there were 765 prisoners in the prison with a capacity of 280 people. Two of them are dependent girls. After they did not stay inside the prison, they were kept hanging a tarpaulin on the balcony. According to Acharya, 46 people have been transferred to Bhimfedi in Makwanpur, two to Parasi and three to Birganj jail after it was very difficult. He said that even though they cannot be kept under Tripal while sending them, the situation will be the same when they are added.

Acharya said that the prison management department has been informed about the problems of the prison. He said, "We have informed the department. Initiatives are being taken to build infrastructure." Currently, there are 672 male and 50 female prisoners in the prison. He said that although the prison has the capacity to hold 255 male prisoners and 25 female prisoners, there is a problem of sleeping due to the pressure of the prisoners.

Acharya said that the number of prisoners is increasing due to the fact that prisoners from neighboring districts are being kept in the jail. Prisoners are brought here especially from Nawalpur and Makwanpur. The pressure has increased due to the fact that prisoners from outside districts are brought to Chitwan for treatment. Since there are big hospitals here including BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, sick prisoners are transferred and sent to Bharatpur.

Acharya said that due to the increase in the number of prisoners in the prison office, there is a possibility of spread of communicable diseases. He said that the prisoners brought from outside will be allowed to visit others only after keeping them in quarantine for a week.
