The meeting of the HoR adjourned

Today's meeting of the House of Representatives has been adjourned after opposition parties, including the main opposition CPN (UML), obstructed Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal statement regarding the selection of the Prime Minister.

UML MP Raghuji Panta drew the attention of the House regarding the Prime Minister's controversial speech. He said that the proceedings of the House cannot proceed until the matter related to the Prime Minister's statement is clarified. After Speaker Devraj Ghimire gave time to the ruling MPs to proceed with the meeting, the meeting was adjourned for half an hour when the opposition MPs got up and started surrounding the 'well'. Today's first meeting of the National Assembly was also postponed.
