JSP candidate wins in Narainapur village municipality of Banke

The candidate of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has won in Narainapur village municipality of Banke district. Ishtiaq Ahmed Shah and Jaswant Devi Srivastava have been re-elected as village chairman and vice-chairman respectively.

 Shah defeated his nearest rival Ram Chandra Maurya of the Nepali Congress by a margin of 1,352 votes. When Shah won by getting 5,037 votes, his nearest rival Maurya had got 3,685 votes. CPN-UML's Padmavati Yadavani polled 3,122 votes, said Election Officer Resham Acharya.

 According to him, Srivastava has defeated Atikun Nisa of Nepali Congress by a margin of 207 votes. While Srivastava won with 3,879 votes, Congress' Atikun got 3,672 votes. CPN-UML's Pancharam Yadav is in the third position with 2,804 votes.

 Isaac Jolah of Congress in Ward No. 1, Masood Ahmed Shah of Jaspaka in Ward No. 2, Ajay Kumar Mishra of Jaspaka in Ward No. 3, Manoj Kumar Sharma of Congress in Ward No. 4, Krishnachandra Maurya of Congress in Ward No. 5 and Prem Chandra Maurya of Congress in Ward No. 6 have been elected.
