Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairperson Upendra Yadav has said that the bill on citizenship which was returned to the House of Representatives (HoR) from the Office of the President would be sent to the President for adjudication after passing it again from the Federal Parliament.
Addressing a programme held in Janakpurdham on Monday, Yadav said the bill would be again sent to the President for certification after passing it from the HoR and National Assembly as the bill would not be inactive though it was sent back to the parliament from the President.
Stating that the constitution has guaranteed not to deprive anyone of citizenship in the country, he warned of road and parliament struggle if conspiracies were hatched to deprive the children of Nepali citizens of citizenship.
On the occasion, Yadav also expressed his dissatisfaction with the President's move to send back the bill arguing that the President immediately certified an ordinance that included the same provisions as in the bill.
