Leader of the main opposition KP Sharma Oli has accused the government's policies and programs for the coming fiscal year of failing to address any issue.

Participating in the discussion on the policy and program presented by President Bidyadevi Bhandari in the joint sitting of the federal parliament on June 3, he said that it has not been able to address any problem of the country.

He expressed happiness over the continuation of the policies and programs put forward by his government. Oli, however, objected to the removal of the slogan "Happy Nepal and Prosperous Nepal".

Stating that they are in favor of social harmony, justice and equality, he urged to move forward in the national interest. He urged the Government of Nepal to understand the report prepared by the Enlightened People's Group (EPG) comprising representatives of the Governments of Nepal and India and to present it to the Parliament.

Oli also drew the government's attention to the fact that the government has kept them in a state of non-communication and has not communicated with the opposition on issues of national importance. He remarked that the government's policies and programs were tasteless. Oli alleged that most of the topics in the program were abstract and distrust was expressed towards the state machinery.

He also accused foreign policy of being impulsive and narrow-minded. Leader Oli said that this policy and program did not include the positive work put forward by the previous government and did not take into account the national needs.
