KATHMANDU: The logo and mascot of the 10th National Games was made public on Tuesday. The 10th National Games is being held from May 17 in Surkhet of Karnali Province.
Chairman of National Sports Council and Minister for Youth and Sports Tejulal Chaudhary released the logo while Council’s Vice Chairman Dhruba Acharya made the mascot public amid a programme at the International Sports Complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur.
Likewise, Member Secretary of Council Tankalal Ghising unveiled the dedicated website of the 10th National Games.
The logo depicts the Karnali river, all seven provinces and sportspersons, mountain, hill and Tarai and pigeon, the symbol of peace.
Likewise, Red Panda, an endangered animal found in the Karnali Province, is used as the mascot of the 10th National Games.
On the occasion, Minister Chaudhary appreciated the preparations being carried out in Karnali targeting the 10th National Games.
He urged one and all to unite to make the national sports mega event a grand success and urged all to focus in the greater interests of sports and sportspersons.
