The Himalayan Vegan Festival-2022 is going to be held to spread knowledge and awareness on the vegan lifestyle and compassionate practices and approaches in the Himalayan region.
The World Vegan Organization held a press conference here today to share that the event will be held in three different places and over three separate timings.
According to Organization's President Suresh Prasad Sharma, the event is the first of its kind in Nepal and will be held at Lumbini Garden Stupa in Lumbini from 13-14 September this year.
Similarly, the event is expected to receive 250-300 participants from Nepal and foreign countries and will be held at the Soaltee Hotel in Kathmandu from 15-16 September and at the Hotel Grand in Pokhara from 17-19 September, informed Sharma.
The event is expected to promote Nepal as a 'Vegan Destination' and impart knowledge about animal rights, vegan diet and conduct other activities such as marathons, interaction, movie shows, and workshops to make delicacies out of vegan milk and food items not involving meat, egg, fish and dairy products, the organizer said.
