Photo exhibition in Hanumandhoka Palace Museum

This photo shows 'Hanumandhoka Durbar Square'

Hanumandhoka Palace Museum Development Committee has started a photo exhibition on the ground floor of Gaddi Baitak from unification to establishment of democracy.

Along with Gaddi Baitak, more than 100 years old photographs taken by photographers Dirghaman Chitrakar, Ganeshman Chitrakar and Kiranman Chitrakar will also be displayed in the exhibition.

Hundreds of tourists visit Hanumandhoka Durbar daily to see the exhibition of historical photographs. Earlier, the exhibition, which was scheduled to start in the second week of January, but was postponed due to COVID.

Inaugurating the exhibition, Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Maheshwar Neupane, said that such activities would attract foreign and domestic tourists to the heritage site.

The exhibition includes documents used by Prithvi Narayan Shah in the Nepal Unification Campaign and a copy of various events of the establishment and restoration of democracy. It is believed that the exhibition will help to know the situation at that time.
