KATHMANDU: Umesh Shrestha has been named the treasurer of the Nepali Congress by party President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Sunday.
Shrestha, a businessman, is a central committee member of the party.
He contested in the 2079 BS House of Representatives election from Chitwan-2, where Rabi Lamichhane, the leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), won the seat.
