Security personnel at Tribhuvan International Airport on Sunday arrested a man in possession of a huge amount of undeclared cash.
The arrestee has been identified as Chudamani Basnet (33) of Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-7 in Morang district.
Basnet was held with the cash Rs 2.45 million during the security check conducted at the hand baggage checking area of the domestic terminal at the airport, according to police.
Basnet was about to board the evening flight of Yeti Airlines from Kathmandu to Morang.
Meanwhile, investigation into the case is underway said police.
