KATHMANDU: India and Nepal have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture. The MoU was signed by India’s Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Nepal’s Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ram Nath Adhikari.
Sharing the development via social media Facebook, Minister Chouhan expressed his happiness, stating, “It gives me immense pleasure to share that the Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development of Nepal, Shri Ram Nath Adhikari Ji, and I have signed an MoU on ‘Cooperation in the Field of Agriculture between India and Nepal’.”
The agreement seeks to foster collaboration in key areas such as enhancing crop productivity, improving post-harvest management systems, advancing agri-marketing mechanisms, and promoting climate-resilient and sustainable agricultural practices.
