Baglung Municipality has said it will start making preparations to control the spread of black fungus, a disease that infects the eyes. Mayor of Baglung Municipality, Janak Raj Poudel, said that the municipality will soon start making preparations to control the spread of the disease.
The municipality which made public its policies and programmes on Wednesday has prioritised the control of black fungus for next fiscal year 2078/79. Prevention and control of the coronavirus and multi-year projects have also been accorded priority in the policies and programmes.
The policies and programmes of Baglung Municipality were announced by Mayor Poudel during the ninth municipal session. On the occasion, Poudel mentioned that if precautions were not taken beforehand then black fungus could also cause immense problems like the spread of COVID-19.
