The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has issued a notice advising people not to buy the corona guards that are available in the market at present. The ministry has said the corona guards that are being sold in the market do not help in the control or prevention of coronavirus as mentioned in their advertisements.
Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, has mentioned that there has been no study conducted on the effectiveness of such equipment and there is no proof that the corona guards actually help prevent people from being infected with COVID-19.
The Health Ministry has said there has been no research conducted on whether such corona guards prevent the spread of the coronavirus. It has mentioned that the best way to stay safe from the virus is to get vaccinated, wear face masks, and follow all the safety protocols that have been set by the concerned health officials.
