DHARAN: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has committed to providing sickle cell medicine produced and tested in neighboring country India. This disease is more common in Tharu community in Nepal.
At the 13th convocation ceremony of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, Prime Minister Oli argued that the newly graduated doctors of the institute should be ready to distribute the medicine to the needy communities.
Mentioning the sage Charak who started health science from our motherland, he said that the government has paid special attention to the health care for all.
Prime Minister Oli clarified that the government is committed to increase the quota of medical students in the health institutions of Nepal, to make this sector effective and well-governed. A total of 657 undergraduate students were graduated in the ceremony.
