Observed annually on April 2 since 2007, as declared by the United Nations, this day aims to promote the full recognition of human rights and fundamental freedoms for individuals with autism, ensuring their equal participation in society.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres highlighted that the observance of this day is crucial for achieving sustainable development goals and fulfilling health-related commitments.
In his message, Guterres emphasized the importance of providing health, education, and employment opportunities to individuals with autism.
