Impossible to vaccinate people in Upper Dolpa

The common people of Upper Dolpa will not be able to get the vaccine against Covid-19 which has spread like an epidemic. Although children between the ages of 12 and 17 are getting the modern vaccine and the general public over the age of 17 is getting Verosel, the general public over the age of 60 is getting booster vaccine in other municipalities, but no one in the three municipalities of Upper Dolpa has been vaccinated.

The Health Service Office, Dolpa, has informed only the general public of Central and Lower Dolpa to get vaccinated from January 25 to 28. The office has stated in the information that it is not possible to vaccinate in the upper Dolpa. A meeting of the CCMC had decided to open the school from January 31 to February 4 to vaccinate the students. Despite the CCMCC's decision, students in Upper Dolpa will not be vaccinated at this time. Similarly, the people of Upper Dolpa will be affected by the decision of not allowing people without vaccination cards to avail of government services from January 22.

Due to heavy snowfall, the people of Upper Dolpa have not been able to get vaccinated against Covid. The common people of the three municipalities have to be vaccinated in the upper Dolpa as the common people of the three municipalities cannot be vaccinated. Due to the snowfall, the upper Dolpa has become like a hostage. The people of Upper Dolpa have not been able to get any service after the road was covered with snow.

Similarly, regular immunization services for other children and safe maternity services are closed from mid-November to mid-February. Due to the general snow and cold in She-Foksundo, Chakatangsung, and Dolpobuddha villages, the work going to different places of the country including the district headquarters Dunai is completely stopped for five months. Similarly, health workers and women volunteers working in the municipality have not been vaccinated, said Health Service Manager Tek Bahadur Gurung.
