The tenth session of the Karnali Provincial Assembly has ended. The Provincial Assembly Secretariat issued a notice stating that the tenth session ended on Friday at 12:00 pm.
The Secretariat published the notice after receiving a letter of the end of the tenth session from Karnali Province Chief Tilak Pariyar from midnight on Friday as per Article 183 of the Constitution, Deputy Secretary of the Secretariat Tejprakash Joshi said.
According to the constitutional provision, the five-year term of the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and members of the Provincial Assembly ended on Friday. Meanwhile, the Karnali State Assembly drafted a total of 53 laws in five years.
Even though 83 bills were registered, only 53 could take the form of a law, said Jibaraj Budhathoki, the secretary of the PA secretariat.
