23 missing in Bajhang landslide

Twenty-three people have gone missing in a landslide in Thalara village municipality-4,  Bajhang district on Tuesday. Among the missing are 18 people from the same house in Gagane Sarki and 5 people from Nare Parki's house.

Locals of Lower Dikhla and Upper Dikhla villages have been displaced and are staying at Tribhuvan Secondary School, Mahendradhar. More than 100 families have been displaced due to the landslide risk in the village and are staying with relatives and nearby schools, according to police.

Chief of the District Police Office, Bajhang, DSP Rupak Khadka said that the rescue operation can not do their job due to the floods blocking the road and also lack of network.
