The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) Monday reported 79 new cases of coronavirus infection in Nepal. The addition of new cases has taken the country's COVID-19 tally to 275,310.
Likewise, a total of 41 cases have been registered in three districts of Kathmandu valley — 27 in Kathmandu, 10 in Lalitpur and four in Bhaktapur — in the last 24 hours.
As many as 75 patients of COVID-19 have recovered in the past 24 hours. With this, a total of 271,401 persons infected with coronavirus in the country have recovered as of Monday. At present, the recovery rate stands at 98.6 per cent as per the data released by the MoHP.
Likewise, the death toll from COVID-19 has reached 3,014 as of Monday. No death from COVID-19 has been reported in the past 24 hours. Presently, there are 895 active cases in Nepal.
Meanwhile, 2,218,722 people have undergone polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
Likewise, 895 people have been staying in isolation while 44 others in quarantine, the MoHP reported.
Earlier on Sunday, the ministry had reported 53 new cases of coronavirus that had taken the country's COVID-19 tally to 275,231.
More than 119.93 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus worldwide while at least 2,782,054 people have died from COVID-19, following an outbreak that started in Wuhan, China, in early December, a Reuters tally showed as of 3:06 pm on March 15.
